In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Close Up.”
This weeks photo challenge was to do with macro work. I know the weekly photo challenge is only supposed to be one photo but I decided to post a few photos that I was pleased with.
All photos were taken with the Fujifilm Finepix HS20EXR.
I’m not going to add anything furtherΒ in the way of text, simply add the photos (EDIT: some EXIF now added). I hope you like them.
Aperture priority: f/3.2, 1/90sec, ISO200, +0.3 step, pattern metering
Manual: f/2.8, 1/200sec, ISO200, pattern metering
Aperture priority: f/4.5, 1/240sec, ISO100, -1 step, pattern metering
Manual: f/4, 1/640sec, ISO200, pattern metering
Manual: f/11, 1/200sec, ISO400, pattern metering
Manual: f/4, 1/160sec, ISO400, pattern metering
Manual: f/4.5, 1/800sec, ISO200, pattern metering
Lovely! I also have a bridge camera. Do you mind sharing what setting(s) you used?

Thank you π
These were a mix of using manual and aperture priority, though now I tend to work in aperture priority so pick what feels right – usually as wide open as the aperture will go. The manual ones were very much experimentation and hoping I managed to get something right.
I’ve added some of the EXIF now to the photos so hope this helps. As a quick note as well the 2 photos of the bee on the lavender did have to have some work done to achieve what is here in post processing but the others are untouched aside from cropping.

Thank you, and sorry for the spider, couldn’t help it. My wife would have the same reaction – though possibly after throwing some at me/laptop π
