As per my re-start post I am going to be re-blogging some of my posts from a site that unfortunately no longer exists in an effort to get working on my blog again.
This was the first time I had been out with the camera and snow on the ground.
I went for a walk round the village one Saturday morning to get some shots before the snow melted – here are the results plus a few from Burghley House later the same day.
My wife looking out to the garden before I went wandering.
My daughter looking out to the garden before I went wandering.
Sparrow on the garden fence.
Silver birch.
Close up of the silver birch branches – even whiter than normal.
Village church.
Too cold for anyone on the playground today.
Looking across the village playing fields.
The church coming from the other side.
Crow in the trees.
Through the church gate.
In places the snow could be mistaken for blossom in the trees.
Looking across the fields to a nearby farm.
Despite having a good 2 or 3 inches the Sun was making short work of the exposed snow.
Dead rose.
Robin on the garden fence.
Burghley House as the sun is going down.
I hope you enjoyed the photos, as always any comments would be appreciated.
